Making diet, exercise and lifestyle changes to lower body fat and sculpt a toned body using online research, books, science, technology, trial and error, and good old fashion sweat.

Yes, I suck.

It’s been over a month since I last posted, I know.  I have no excuses.  I just didn’t feel like it and I haven’t made the time.

So, what’s new?  Well, I think I’m gaining weight.  *Maybe* it’s muscle weight, since muscle does weigh more than fat, but I’m not sure.  I’m not in the gym as much as I want to be anymore.  You know how when you get something new you’re super excited and you can’t stop playing with it?  It was kinda like that for me with this whole exercise thing.  I was wicked psyched in the beginning, and now, oh boy, and now it’s all… BLAH.

Once you fall out of a routine, it’s hard to get back into, and getting into a routine is very hard.  I’m too tired  to hit the gym after work (plus it’s annoyingly crowded).  And for the life of me, I can’t get up at 5 to do it before work.  (I struggle to get up at anytime before 11 AM!)

Not this past Saturday, but the Saturday before that, I started taking daily vitamins and supplements.  I’ve been hoping that they’ll give me more energy and make me feel more refreshed in the morning, but so far, nothing.  Actually, I’ve felt more tired in the past 2 weeks than I have in the past.  Is it related? Is it temporary?

Here’s what I’m taking, 3x a day:

  • Alive! Multivitamin
  • Acetyl L-Carnitine
  • Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

More about what they are and why I chose them later.  Right now, I’m concentrating on making sure I don’t eat just to eat (there’s food everywhere at work!) and on talking myself into hitting the gym after.
