Day 2 Back at the Gym

It’s about 6:30 Tuesday morning. I usually get up around 8, 8:15. It was surprisingly easy to get up this morning. Probably the excitement of something new - the anticipation. However, it’s foggy and overcast this morning. It can be hard to get out and go to the gym when it looks so uninviting outside. I make sure to turn on a lot of lights, open the windows wide, and put on the radio to get my energy going.

I just had breakfast. Even though I wasn’t feeling hungry, I forced myself to eat something to jumpstart my metabolism for the day. Eating breakfast everyday is essential.

My breakfast:

1 bowl of Kashi Heart to Heart cereal with
1 cup of fat free organic milk and
A sprinkle of flaxseed

I feel good. Gonna walk to the gym soon. Did I mention I walk to the gym? It’s about 1.7 miles away. It’s a great warm-up and I really enjoy the walk along Hollywood Blvd to my gym.

I plan on working on my legs today. They’re already pretty toned and shapely, but I want to build strength and endurance in them. Muscles, even at rest, burn more calories than fat cells. I know it’s important that I take advantage of the abundance of muscles in my legs.
